"Scar" is a combination of needle felting, wet felting and bead embelishment. It is my artistic response to the 2010 Gulf Oil Disaster. The beautiful ocean hues of blues, grays, purples are worked in mounds of rippling wool. The sea life has it's own unique beauty. But this enviornmental disaster has left an ugly scar, oozing shiny black oil beads into every crevice.
