Paul
Slade grew up in Charlotte's House. After he and Lyn married, they
lived next door in "the red house" for 25 years. The Slades
took on the task of completely renovating the family homestead during
2001-2002. Paul is proud to have completed the vision his father had
when he moved his bride, Charlotte, here in 1947.
Diehard
do-it-yourselfers, Paul and Lyn embrace their roles as innkeepers. From
crafting the blades for cutting new moldings, to milling his own lumber
for the floorboards, Paul has already put his heart and soul into this
business. Lyn spent years in the restaurant and catering industry - recently
ending a 15-year run as owner of Chef D'Jour Ltd., her Bolton-based catering
business. Inn guests will appreciate her culinary talents, and may pick
up a few tips by joining in on cooking classes she holds in the kitchen
of Charlotte's House.
